Ithaca is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Ithaca is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Was such a fun evening axe throwing! Dave and Mary are both knowledgeable, professional and made it a lot of fun. They even give you tips along the way and showed encouragement along the way. Definitely recommending this place to everyone!!

Flexible scheduling, better for smaller groups. They walk you through throwing and the different ax types. Overall fun for all. We would go again sometime. They even have a league for those inclined!

Hosted my son's 18th birthday at The Knight's Den, which included kids of all ages, as it was a family affair (ages 3-18). Signing online waivers was effortless, and the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating, even making sure there was something fun for my 3yo son and 8yo niece to do (rented the game simulator and foam ax-throwing target). If you're looking for something to do that is different and fun for everyone regardless of skill-level, this is it!

A really fun group experience, no to mention the black light artistic creations by Ithaca's very own Mary Beth Ihnken. All of it is very well done. Different weights of axes and various games can be played. Bring your competitive (or not so competitive) friends! It's really fun!

We had an incredible time at the Knight's Den and Eastlake Recreation Center. The people and environment led to the sense of fun and pulled you out of your daily life. It's like a mini vacation in your day. There is a fine balance to achieve between fun and safety when you are dealing with novice axe throwers, and the people here kept that balance at all times. My group of four was laughing constantly, but even among the silliness, we paid attention to the safety rules. That was because of the initial training. I thought the hour gave us a strong chance to learn, practice, then compete amongst each other. You should give it a try. We took the opportunity to try the virtual golf and how COOL was that! It's not just virtual golf. It's zombie dodgeball and a western shooter game. There were more games we didn't try, but those were both incredibly responsive and enjoyable. My husband and I live in Dallas where there are many recreational opportunities, but we're from the Finger Lakes originally. This is the kind of experience you would expect to find in a larger population with long lines and impersonal service, but this is a big city opportunity with small town immediacy and friendly,
